Happy February, Tiki Tots! 2014 is already well underway, and spring is fast approaching.
On Saturday, we had a very special field trip. We went to Morikoro Park in Nagakute City to take part in the Snow Festival. They shipped in tons and tons of snow for us to enjoy.
Many of us decided to try sledding. There was a great slope with several sledding runs to choose from. Although the snow was a little bit melty in the warm Nagoya winter, we enjoyed ourselves immensely.
Among our snow-filled adventures, we tried to have a miniature snowball fight. There was not a whole lot of space or snow to really have a true battle, but we enjoyed the feeling of the cold snow in our hands! We also worked together to build a snowman. We found some bark for his eyes, some grass for his hair, some sticks for his arms, a rock for his nose, and some acorns for his mouth.
Along with the snow festival, there were also many attractions for us to enjoy.
We all took off our shoes and enjoyed running around a bouncy land. There were many obstacles to get through before getting to the giant slide at the end. Many of us completed the obstacle course several times before our 5 minutes were up!
Also, some of us enjoyed jumping on trampolines. A few more daring Tiki Tots decided to try out water walking. We watched as the workers closed our friends inside of a giant bubble and inflated it with air. Then, they were pushed onto a big pool of water! The boys could do little more than flail inside of the giant bubble.
Finally, exhausted from so much fun, we returned back to No Borders Chikusa School. I had so much fun with all of you, and I can't wait to do it again next year!
